George, it all depends on what you want to irrigate. The kit might not have everything you need. I buy my drip on line at www.mrdrip.com They can help you too if you are unsure. Besides I prefer to help out the little guy as opposed to the BIG companies.

I'll second the endorsement for www.mrdrip.com. I am in the process of setting up drip systems for my front and rear porches. Appx 20 hanging baskets. I looked at Lowes but I chose to order the components from mrdrip since they were quite helpful in guiding me in my product choices. Additionally they offer an inline liquid fertilizer package.
