The gloves won't make too much of a difference. Where you will grade them is on fit and wear. I don't think I have yet come across a glove that fit well that I did not like how my hand moved in it. There are some that have fit well but did not wear well.

Speaking of wear. No matter what you buy, they will wear out. Spending more will not necessarily make for a longer wearing glove. Especially given the differential in the cost between cheaper gloves and the high tech gloves, I target the gloves for what I need. Gardening for me is mostly large movements and very abrasive work. I can use cowhide gloves which are cheaper and wear longer than about anything I've tried. When I do chainsaw work, I need the dexterity and I have less abrasion. That is when I use the high tech $15-40 gloves.

In the high tech gloves they seem about the same. Although I did find that the Youngstown and Ironclad gloves wore better. A pair of Craftsman mechanic gloves split at the fingers after not too much use. My Home D. specials are holding up well enough.

If it is on special, I will try it.
