How big will these tree be expected to get or should I say wide? 5 feet apart doesn't seem far enough(bush/hedge). Also 5 gal per tree seems high for newly planted trees( large trees). Are you planning on a 450 gal tank? The pressure from the tank concerns me. All trees will not be watered equally. You get about 0.5 psi pressure for each vertical foot to the tank's water surface. If the tank's water surface is at 10 feet off the ground you have 5 psi pressure pushing water through the line at the ground. Will you have 90 lines to all the trees from the tank or lines divided to water a number of trees at once? These lines will have different pressure losses for differing lengths of lines. You could up-size the lines that travel the farthest, but this is a lot of trail an error. You might be better of just pumping to the trees from the river using several zones. If it is powered by solar energy and a controller/timer an automated system directly watering the trees would be the way to go. Aloha
