Hi all, my house currently has sprinkler main tapped after the main shut-off gate valve. I'm thinking of changing the configuration so the sprinkler main is tapped *before* the main shut-off. This way I can turn off the water going inside house while keeping the sprinkler system on (I sometimes leave unoccupied for a month and I usually shut down the water from the main, with currently config, I also shut down the irrigation system if I do it).

Is this permitted by the code or do you think it'll cause any issue I might have missed? BTW, my sprinkler has it's own shut-off valve I could just close both valves to stop the water with this new configuration.

Please advise and thanks
