Someone more knowledgeable than me will have to respond. However, when it comes to moving heads, it depends on how far you want to move them. Usually, there is a flexible hose buried underground that connects the head to the pipe. If you are only moving a short distance, you may be able to get away with simply digging up the head and the tube and moving it to the new position.

You might give a call to your friendly local irrigation supply store. They may be able to answer your questions.

most irrigation supply places sell fittings for that "black flex pipe" or funny pipe. You can add a coupling, some more pipe and move it even further if need be.

other things to think of:
Make sure when removing heads that your pump is still running all the time when the station is on (I hate seeing a pump turn on and off every 3minutes). You may need to change some of the nozzles in the other heads to match the water flow.

telescopic couplings are a godsend... don't be afraid to use them.

To move the heads get a roll of funny pipe and 1/2 or 3/4 barb elbows from home depot of local supply store take the rotor head off screw in the elbow attach the funny pipe bury the funny pipe to where you want to move the head screw another elbow into the rotor and attach the funny pipe to it. for the heads you dont need unscrew the heads and put a cap on the cut off nipple.
