I have fresh German Chamomile seed, "Bona" cultivar - this is not a hybrid. I've been growing this every year since 1999 (original seeds purchased from Richter's). The seed I'm offering was harvested today.


The following info relates exclusively as to how this particular strain has performed for me in IL Zone 5a.


Emerges in late winter (early March or even late February).


Annual, but is an enthusiastic and very reliable reseeder.


Sow seed in open, moist soil. Press in.


First plants grow 18" - 24". Later plants may bloom when as short as 10".


About 60 days 'til bloom. If the flowers are kept harvested the plants often keep producing. Full sun or partial shade. Can be grown in pots, but won't be as bushy.


Pushy, with a bit of an attitude, but not invasive. If it pops up in the yard just mow it, or, it's easy to dig up and move.


These seeds are miniscule (and I think I might need bifocals) so I can't give a count.


Smells (to me) like a cross between sweet fresh hay and apples.


Bunnyrabbits don't eat it!
