Winterfell, your plant is BEAUTIFUL. Nice find. I have read that Adenium are typically not self-fertile. You might be able to hand pollinate your plant to obtain seeds. I bet there are a lot of Utube videos that would show you how to do that.

Thanks guys. If they don't self pollinate i guess I'll have to buy another one :) it seems pretty vigorous. And if it likes hot sun it should do great here in San Antonio texas. Where do the members here obtain their plants or seed? I think starting some from seed would be fun

You got some good information so I don't have much to add other than personal experience. For the past two years I have tried to hand pollinate my adeniums via cross breeding with absolutely no success. After another round of failed attempts this spring I had given up. Two weeks after giving up I noticed a seed pod forming on one of the plants I didn't even try to pollinate so I was pleasantly surprised.

Many factors play into account. They are not self fertile but I have read some people have had success cross pollinating flowers on the same plant. I have also read you really need two different plants. Some plants are just sterile and I feel that's the case for a few of mine.

With that said I still think it's worth trying. And as Pagan said it is fun growing them from seed. It's just super fun when it's seeds produced from your efforts.
