I have a craftman mower with a 25hp kohler command motor. The engine didnt have a stator or rectifer when I got it, it was a older mower. I purchased a new stator and rectifer. The problem I am having is when I put one lead of my ohm meter on the b+ terminal of the rectifer and the other on the ground post I get no voltage, but when I go from the ground post to the B+ post on the battery it shows 12 Volts. Its as if its charging but in a negative polarity. Im stumped any Ideas?
