Old lawn tractor:

A fellow asked if he could donate his old C-man lawn tractor to me, so i accepted it. He said it would run. Well, i removed all of the good parts, and tires, engine, seat, etc. Then a "junkie" friend hauled off the remaining skeleton. Last couple of weeks, i had seen a nice clean battery sitting under the Sumac tree. I looked at it yesterday. There were no signs of it ever being bolted to the cables, no scratches, etc.
So, last evening, i hooked up the trickle charger to it, and left it on all night. Un-hooked it today, and it shows 14.5 volts on my volt meter. Nawww, i couldn't be that lucky--could i? Well, from past experiences, i'll just let it sit for a while, and see if its ok, or junk. Date on top sez DEC-10. After it sits for a week or so, i'll check it again.
Now, i am not getting senile! Nobody sells that brand around here, that i know of. It may have been in that old junked tractor, and i just overlooked it. 35 bucks is 35 bucks!
