Crastsman 10 hp issues

I wrote on this before but neglected to provide the model number of the mower. It is a 536.270111 model.

My problem is that the clutch/brake pedal doesn't engage the transmission??...I checked out some online manuals, couldn't get the 536.270111 version, but got the 536.270112 version...I'm hoping they are somewhat similar. I'm hoping my belt just came off or something easy. but would welcome any thoughts on this. How difficult is it to get to the appropriate belt? Looks like I need to take the entire body off to access it..am I correct or should I be looking for some other possible issue!

Thanks for any help!

You can go to searspartsdirect.com
and compare the parts lists between the 2 models.

IF they both use the same PN's for the area of interest, then you should be able to use the manual. On quick glance, they appear the same.
Manual gives instructions on how to change the belt.

Belt shouldn't be hard to get. Just Google the part#-

"037X65MA belt" returns results.

It's a Murray built unit. Chances are you can go to a NAPA store and get one.

Did you have a flat fixed or remove one of your rear tires. A lot of the time when someone removes one of the rear tires the square key comes out or falls out without you knowing it and the axle then just turns inside the wheel and the won't move.
