Purchased new in 2003- GT 5000- HP Kohler- Hydro- Less than 400 hrs.
Occasional this tractor will stall out but not completely go down. It seems to happen more often going over rough ground but occasional over smooth ground. After mowing 1-2 hrs on average I idle down full 3 minutes before shutting down. Restarts normally but then stalls completely out and have to restart. Using Kohler brand fuel filter #24 050 13-S1. Owners manual reveals a fuel filter with slightly different # 24-050-02-S ? Fuel filter always has fuel during one of these intermittent stalls while mowing.
Last year this issue came up and I changed fuel filter and even drained tank. I thought problem was gone but this Near Stalling Out occurring more often in this intense heat.
I use STABILIZER yearly. And very picking about refueling with clean, fresh, 89 octane gas.
I sprayed small mount of Carb Cleaner directly into Carb while tractor was running few weeks ago.
Could I add a few ounces of HEAT to fuel attempting to rid any water present?
Should I remove Carb bowl checking for water and foreign matter?
