Old Dynamark.

I have an old tractor, with 5-hole wheels on the back, and a 16 hp engine, horizontal opposed B&S.

I think the thing is haunted. It has a large red warning light that comes on, supposedly, when it is in gear, or the deck is in operating mode, or some other reason, which when it lights, the tractor won't start! It has sat in my back yard for several weeks, and when i went to start it--the red light came on and--nothing! No start! No cranking, no sound! So, i got out another tractor, and left the old one sit. Later on, i tried it and it started right up! I opened the hood to see if there might be a cranky little gnome in there that i had just awakened from a deep sleep, but nothing there. I drove it up front for display, but about three hours later, i went out to bring it down back, and, yep--no start and the red light was on! Upon inspection i found the right front tire was flat, so i stretched my 75 ft. long air hose out and refilled the tire. And got on it, turned the key, and bingo--it started and the red light was out!

Along about now--I'm about at my wits end! I just know i'll go out there tomorrow and it will sit there and slumber away, and when my son stops in, he'll climb on it and-yes-it will start! Spooks is what it is!
