And that's the reason why I use jugs. It's just too windy here for me to chance anything else.

Oh, sorry about the mishap! Don't worry, we'll get those seedlings IDed--most of them, at least!

I just had some containers get messed up too, and they were just sitting on the ground. When the snow melted, they weren't level, and some 2-liter jugs tipped over. Probably a milk jug wouldn't have tipped, but I really like the 2-liters.

Thanks for the encouragement. Cool link, as well. I have kept a list of what's in the containers, so that will at least narrow in down for me.

Last year I had my containers on the ground, and just covered them with a tarp with heavy stones at the corners when it was windy, and didn't have any trouble. I think having them high on a shelf helped the wind to get a hold of them. I may do some milk jugs and put them on the ground on the side of the house, out of reach of my puppies.

Clumsygrdner, I got up for a few minutes, and missed your post before I posted mine. I'm sorry, that's no fun. We'll just have to be surprised and do a little extra research on seedlings. I'm pretty sure I'll have seedlings sprout, just don't know which ones and where. I hope they won't all be in the same corner :) Everyone of this forum is very generous, so I'm sure they'll help us identify.
