Weird but cool encounter today!

I was thrilled to see a man who was walking his dog past my house actually get down on one kneee to smell the flowers I have planted along the sidewalk! This is exactly what i wish...to share their beauty with my neighbors. The weird thing, though, is that he had a choice of a flowering Ebb Tide, Lilac Rose, and Jude the Obscure, but he stopped to sniff....a CORNFLOWER! Weird....

Different strokes for different folks. Life would be boring if we all liked the same things.

If I had done what I wanted earlier this season that cornflower would have been relocated. Still not sure I want it, even after blooming, but if it brings pleasure to others....

Maybe he just wanted to know if cornflowers smell?

Flowers don't smell, they have a fragrance, or odor in some cases.
Animals and people smell using their noses.

catsrose, I think he did want to know just that. He said he could smell them, and he was right!
