Should you have to shut off the fuel every time. Thats 3 different safety ways to keep fuel from flowing into the engine casing!!! Sounds overkill. Maybe the engineers need to look into this?

How do you arrive at "3 different ways"?

There are stories of people pouring water from a nearby stream into the crankcase of their Model T Ford, in order to get home. You should be alright with the lubricity of gas contaminated oil.

larso, surely you can't be serious about suggesting oil diluted with gasoline is ok to run!
And so far as the "stories" of filling a crankcase with water in order to get home................anecdotal at best.

Mownie, of course that all depends on how diluted and for how long it was run that way. It sounded to me like there was plenty of oil in that mix to prevent damage. "Stories" of water in a nearly dry Model T crankcase may be anecdotal, but I read them. You just can't make up that kind of sh_t.

More than ever people should pay attention to any and all motor oil issues, it can get away from you lets face it things cost more and you get less. Bad oil= a shortened engine life,cost,and headaches prematurely.
Seen it many times and never want to follow that program....
