Did you go to the African Violet Club meeting?

Linda

I still want to see the answer....lol

Hunh?

If you're talking about raising the pH, dolomite lime will do the trick; just don't ask me what proportion.

I did a pH talk at my last club meeting and did an experiment; I had some 1:1:1 (peat, perlite, vermiculite) in a jar, soaking in pH 7.0 water. After 10 min. I strained the water out and used my pH tester; it tested at pH *5*! Fortunately I've never used straight peat, but I have some at home, so I can play around with the lime (purchased from a local nursery). I'll post results whenever I get around to it.

Things that make you go 'Hmmmm'...

~embrace the confusion~

I just want to know how can I adjust soil pH without change soil?
Sorry, I don't have time to go to club, coz I'm moving now, please help me with it.
Thanks.

Wow, Korina, that is a pretty neat experiment! Thanks for posting about it!
