Thanks guys. I have been on a self induced hiatus because we bought a big ole house and moved into it back in July. It was a multifaceted move because of my wife's mother's deteriorating health. We bought a house big enough for me and my wife and her mother to live in so we can care for her. We bought the house at a good price but it came with some fixing up to do. That fixing up has been all on me and the wife and so I had to impose some strict limitations on the things that can take up time in one's day and for me it was my internet time and a couple of other pastimes so I can focus on all the projects at the new house and to get our old house and MIL's old house onto the market. I'll be back but it might not be until the spring of 2015. I have dropped in a few times to see what was happening but I have to try and keep out of the mix or I'll end up neglecting other stuff that needs to be done. Rest assured it has all been a labor of love, even if it has not been all smooth sailing. The second week we were in the new house MIL fell and cracked her femur on the leg which she has had total hip replacement back in the 1990's. The doctors were not sure what would have to be done as it did not "appear" that the bone had separated from the prosthesis, but they wanted her to do a couple weeks of bed rest and then more X-rays. Because of MIL's dementia/Alzheimer's it was near impossible to enforce that, so my wife had to stay with her mom nearly 24/7 to keep her within the doctor's orders.............and that meant I had to do everything that my wife usually took care of. In short, I have been too dang busy to hang out at the forum much. I appreciate the thoughts and wish you all the best for the upcoming holidays. I hope you and yours are all doing well. Good to hear that you are still on the radar. You're a good man. Looking forward to seeing more from you next year. In the meantime, Happy Holidays to you and yours.
And, Old Rusty Jones had to take care of his ailing wife, who passed on in August, last year. Mownie tells it like it is. Good to hear from him, though. My old computer puked its guts, and I finally got this new one to work right. I'm still fixing stuff. Got several running tractors, push mowers, etc. All stuffed into storage until next spring. Any other "Old Timers" still in here? Like to hear from them. I turned 90 YOA, last September! Still in good health. Living alone is boring, but I still get out to play my Bluegrass Music, once a week, or so. Still driving, and still sharp. No smoking, and a beer a day does it for me! Cheers!
