Rooting dilemma... vacation

I've had some cuttings rooting in water for 1+ months. I've got some roots now, they are not long, maybe 1/2 inch at most (and that's only one, the rest are smaller). In 2 weeks I'm leaving for a 9 day vacation. Do I just plan on leaving them in water for that time, or should I pot them up? At what point do you pot them after they've started getting roots in water?

Why not just skip the whole rooting in water thing and root them in your potting mix?
The water roots die off once they get in the mix anyways... So if you just start em in the mix, you leave out a lotta wasted time & effort :-)

Really? I never heard that before. I was just worried about leaving them for 9 days if I potted them up... it's easier to keep them wet rooting in water than in a mix :-P

Hi Frank.
I agree with M3mald completely at least for the next time. I start all my little suckers and leaves in my soil mix. As I said for the next time, however if they are happy and growing in water, leave them there till you return from vacation. Then you can pot them up in your mix and watch them more carefully.
