Nope! Go right ahead and WS those babies, all except cleome and love-in-a-mist. Those two are annuals and from what I've read on this forum should be WSd later. Hopefully someone in zone 5 will pipe in with recommended timing for those. The rest should be fine to WS. According to Wintersown.org, you can keep going as long as it's still cool enough in the evenings to need a jacket. I WSd rose of Sharon and hardy hibiscus over the weekend myself. If you need more seeds of either, let me know--I've got plenty to spare in exchange for a SASBE.

I already did my cleomes. Last year they did fine for me so I took a chance. Maybe some other ws'ers can let you know if I did the right thing. I thought cleome were ok.

I would say go for it and sow most now...

Check the F&Q for suggestions there are lists of hardy annuals and perenials.

Cleomes do fine in cold weather - they need some cold to germinate

carrie & Karen - thanks for posting that cleome can be WS now. I've never grown it before and since I know it's an annual, I just assumed it needed to wait.
Day's not wasted--I learned something new!!
I just found cleome seeds at the job lots store yesterday so I guess I'll go ahead and WS them. I tried to DS them last year and got a single sprout.

Cleome can be sown now but mine is slow to come up in the spring. Re-seeded like crazy last year. Finally got a start of white. jim
