I feel dumb asking this, but I would be even more dumb for not asking.

I was finally getting around to "packing up" my harvested seeds from October last night.

I packed up what seems to be an abundance of purple coneflower seeds.

Then I went to pack up the yellow coneflower seeds.

Hmmmm.......

Are coneflower seeds the pointy things that stick out from the cone? These things kind of look like marigold seeds when you pry them off.

Or, are they the small, brownish, diamond-ish things in between the pointy things?

The yellow coneflowers had a bunch of these. The purple ones did not.

Which one is which???????
