containers too wet?

Hi everyone- I have quietly been reading here and this is my first time trying this WSing thing! I tried to search old posts but couldn't find anything...how do I know if my containers are too wet? I put drain slits in all, caps off, and there is no standing water, but the soil looks pretty moist and lots of condensation on the tops. Thank you!

I'm a little 'icky' about just putting drain 'slits' on the bottom of containers. I don't think they provide enough drainage and so I use a soldering iron and put drain holes in the bottoms. If you have slits, there should be some width to them.

Don't worry about the condensation - that's OK. If the soil is simply moist and you have good drainage, then you are fine too. You might want to widen your slits if you think the containers are not draining well, or make more of them on the sides of the bottom.
