I want to remind everybody what Nancy always advises. INSV - impatiens necrotic spot virus is on the rise in the country.
If you get a sick plant - and you got thrips - it will be a death sentence to a whole collection. The summer is almost over - and we could accidentally let thrips in. It is a time to check for them - and spray if you found them.
So - during isolation - you observe if plant develops mottled or spotted leaves, semi-circular lines on the leaves, new leaves curl and do not develop right - in a trash bag it goes.
Look at the the pics that Jana from Indiana - thank you, Jana, very much - posted on Violet Reflections.
If you have a stunted plant like this - chuck it now, spray for thrips - and PRAY!
Irina, praying and waiting for the results from the extention lab test.
