Get a Synodontis ( upside-down ) catfish instead, they are from the same place, they prefer the same water quality parameters, Raphael catfish prefer exactly the oppose parameters they come from the soft acidic rivers of South America. The cheapest of the upside-down catfish are S. nigriventris but if you want something pricier but much more spectacular try a S. multipunctatus or a S. angelicus.

Not to mention the africans will tear up the raphael if they catch him. You'd think the spikes would help, but not enough...
