Very cool, are you doing a brackish bio-tope?

I may do a biotope in the their permanent 20, but it will take a lot of research. Any suggestions??

For a 20G the only thing that comes to mind is bumble bee goby's, they are often kept with figure 8's. They are also cool looking and fun to watch. Is this a start in the direction of salt water?

woe, yep. babysteps towards a full marine tank for the really big dog face puffers.

I have read that the gobies can go with the figure 8's however i think the puffs may make a meal out of them. I'd like to try mysis shrimp with them too but again i think theyd be lunch ;)

I have clams in with them now. They were supposed to be food for the puffers but they are far too big. The clams have since dug themselves in and made themselves at home. I feed them crushed up algae wafers and they've been alive since Saturday...

Puffers are viscous predators and will kill even much larger fish.

I "think" the reasoning with the bumble bees is because they are small and very quick the pufers give up on them. Bumble bees are also carnivores and have a similar diet as well as live in the same area/and conditions as the puffers. They are also not the "nicest of fish. A larger, slower fish would deffinately be a target. Let me check a few sites if I still have them saved to see what others say that keep the 8's and I'll link you.

Didn't take long to find. I have to sort my fish favorites list though, the list is too long and needs to be catagorized. I almost got figure 8 puffers before. I did a little research but desided to hold off. I have trouble managing just one aquarium at this point with fish. The plant only's are getting outta control. This seems like a descent forum, though I have only read very few threads. Just a few articles.Hope it helps.
