1) My first patch of containers is completely covered with snow. Should I be concerned that they won't be getting enough light? Should I wipe the snow off, or leave it alone?

2) I've been using relatively small containers compared to most of you, I think - small take-out containers, small plastic bowls with plastic bottle tops on top to cover them up. This is mainly circumstantial - I don't drink milk so have a lack of large milk jugs. Does it make a difference? Is it bad for the plants if they are in small containers?

3) Some people insist that you sow in a "soilless" medium, while others (Trudi, I believe) use any random cheap soil. I've been using a random mix of what's around - left over jiffy's that I've crumbled up and soaked, leftover garden soil, leftover seed starting mix, etc. Should I concern myself with this too much?
