I don't see a White Cloud and a Betta being a bad mix, personality-wise, but they do like different conditions. White Clouds, if they were people, would live in Minnesota. Bettas would love Florida. Now getting small gouramis, like Dwarf or Pygmy or Pearls, would be a better fit for a Betta.

I don't really have a choice, the tank is kinda small. And the only reason I'm getting a minnow is because the betta gets really bored during the day. But I'll look into those other kind of fish.

I went to the pet store today and bought a rosy red and a white cloud minnow, so far they're doing okay. The betta fish kinda chases them around, but he's much to slow to ever catch them. The rosy red is large (for a minnow) and the white cloud minnow is about 3/4 inch. The betta is very small for a betta though, (full grown though) and I dont think he's capable of eating the WCM.
