I had one of these Giraffe Nosed Catfish in my Cichlid tank. BEST bottom feeder I have ever had. Plenty of movement Beautiful design and easy temperament. I bought at 4 inches and was 14 inches 2yrs later when I had to sell her for a move. Mine had ocean sand and she would keep it nice and clean on the bottom without making holes or tearing anything up (had no plants in tank, only drift wood and rocks).

I had a 32 inch 14lb red tail catfish years ago along with a few 3 feet plus long arrowanas. The RTC was one of the coolest fish I ever owned. He was literally like a dog. When I would come home from work my dog would be waiting at the door and Moby :) would be waiting at the end of the tank. He would actually let me pet him. I got him at 2 inches and in 3 years he was a beast. My dog would get spooked every time he moved around and tried to burrow through my apartment walls a few times so I had to sell the tank and all the fish.

the mysterious of the catfish, i always wondered why people found it attractive ?!! and why would we have it ?
