Yes, I have reduced the temps, i thought for sure he was going to die, but he's been living like that for 2 weeks! Temp is about 75

ok, but the general rule is one inch of fish per gallon of water, my bala is only 2" long and he has plenty of room and i only have about 15 other fish in the 55 gallon aquarium. I can understand how a cramped living space would cause stress, but he has plenty of room, and how would that make him have rapid gill movement and rapid respirations? Also, why would he be swimming so odd?

Have you checked the water for ph, ammo, nitrates, etc? Sometimes the treatments foul up the biological filter. Continue doing water changes. You may have cured the ick but killed some fish. Not all fish can handle the medications.

See that was my first thought, but all the water parameters are perfect, no traces of ammonia or nitrite's, my nitrate is at an acceptable level, and the Ph somewhere around 6.9-7.1. I put new carbon on the filter and am still doing my weekly water changes, he's swimming pretty normal now, i guess the ich medication just took a toll on him. Thanks for all the advice
