Is this for freshwater aquarium, or salt water? I wouldn't dare use both in my planted tank, but I hear it's great for african rift lake cichlids. I can't answer your question, but perhaps dedicated sites like this could answer it.

Yes aragonite will raise you pH KH and GH.
