Hi,
I would really like some input on the behavior of my albino catfish. Ever since I brought them home, they have been swimming all over in the tank, hardly staying at the bottom. And yesterday, I found one of them right on top, literally half out of water in btw some floating plants. Thinking it dead I moved the plants and suddenly it swam right back to the plants with its head literally sticking out of water. Slightly freaked out, I tried pushing it down with a net and it swims right up, up to the water hyacinth and sticks its head out again. Anyway, to make a long story short, it died within an hour. Can anyone tell me what could have gone wrong?
The only thing that was different about the tank was that I did a partial water change the day before and I added 2 tiny Water Hyacinths as floating plants. My husband says the Water Hyacinths poisoned the little guy... :(
