I am in zone 5b-6a, Indiana, 46181. What is your State and zip code? I have had sprouts for a few weeks now. It also depends on what you have sown. Can you provide a list of some of your WS seeds?

Patreesh, Dowdeswell suggests a week or two of chill for their seeds, so average of 40F. You've gotta have that in a zone 5 - it's still about my day/night average here in Z8 ;)

I am in zone 5a in Wisconsin, and I do not usually have sprouts until the middle of April. Delphs absolutely need the cold and darkness to germinate. Make sure your seeds are covered, and it is not uncommon to have to wait at least 21 days before germination.

Like morz8 said, you should be fine yet for the cold treatment in our zone. It got up to 48 here today, but the nighttime temperature was 18.

Syracuse won't be seeing sprouts for a few weeks; you will be happy dancing soon, but not yet. It's cold up there! My daughter lives there and just came home this week saying she feels spring will never come. But it will. It's hard when you read on the forum that other's have sprouts (for me, they often are in lower zones too!) but I have come to accept that most of my sprouts won't come till April at least. I try to remember that I get a slightly longer growing season in the fall as my consulation prize!

Thanks Nancy.... today was beautiful - 61 degrees and sunshine! Hope your daughter was here to enjoy the day. It's good to have some idea of when to expect to see something. I'm a novice and thought I may have done something wrong. I'll try to wait patiently.
