Well, no clue on this one. Looks like fargesii and has the same leaf, but the influorescence is much more red.....could just be a variant....any ideas :o) Dan
I would disagree with that, I have both and while A. franchetianum and A. fargesii are almost indistinguishable from each other; the franchetianum inflorescence opens at the same time as the leaves, fargesii just after.
HI MalBuk, Well, I honestly do not know. I received this as a species that was supposed to be somewhat different, but it is sooooo close to fargesii or franchetianum that it really isn't worth while keeping it separate for me any more except that it does have a more red spathe compared to my particular fargesii variant. Sort of like all the various consanguineum variants.....I just list them as the species and then I'm surprised when I see which influorescence appears from the pot in the spring. Thanks for your help as always :o) Dan
