Colocasia black stem

Hi- This is a picture of a Colocasia Black stem that I curious about. The plant is doing great but, a couple of weeks ago, it started putting out what looks like stems, but they're flopping over and getting longer and longer. Any ideas as to what this plant is doing?

Its Colocasia 'Burgundy Stem', there is no such plant as black stem, the long things are runners.

Thats strange, I purchased it from A&B Tropicals and it was listed as C. Black stem. Anyway, it's a good looking plant and thanks for the info.

I stand corrected, in the US fontanesii is listed as 'fontanesii black stem' but that has a glossy leaf, yours look to be more like the standard Colocasia leaf so it still doesn't look like black stem.
