I spring sowed them in late April with germination in late May in 2008. Think I will sow some earlier this year as they took a month to germinate. Had good germination.

I also winter mine over but keep one in a southwest window and get waves of blooms throughout the winter.

Thanks mnwsgal, maybe there's hope yet if they took that long to germinate.

I summer sowed them and overwintered indoors.

It grew reallllllllllllllllllly slowly (but consistenty )over the winter, its really picking up speed since the days are longer.

For some reason, can't find my records re: this one, but I think I started them in March of 2006 - my "leap of faith" plant. Managed to get one plant from 10 seeds. Oh, but what a plant! By July, it was maybe 6" tall and and blooming!

Took it inside for the winter - never missed a beat. Bloomed all winter in a south-facing window. When it went back out in Spring of 2007, it just continued blooming ...

Unfortunately, when it went back inside that year, I had an infestation of whitefly that I could not get under control; got so disgusted, I just tossed everything that I was trying to overwinter. Boo.

But you reminded me - I've got some more seed abd I'll be sowing/growing that one again!
