This monstera spent most of the winter exposed to ambient air outside here. I only found it toward the middle or end of February and really thought it was a goner. I was surprised and pleased to see it shoot a new leaf up!

Hi Nigella, Great picture's and nice looking plants. Thanks for sharing them. A question, I got several Alocasia sanderiana in early August. I kept them where they only recieved early morning sun and they did quite well. Can they tolerate more sun? Any adivse from you will be welcomed. Thanks Kin

Hi Kin, I also keep mine in fairly low light, morning sun only, and they seem to like that. I really need to repot mine, it's going to start toppling over soon, I'm afraid.

Margaret,

Does the Alocasia Amazonica die back in the fall/winter? I've seen several for sale here & have been tempted each time, but I'd like to know first if it'll work as a year-round house plant.

And, oooh, you have a Painted Lady! Lucky you!
