Platy Questions

Hi, I've recently started a 29 gallon tank and currently have 5 neon tetras, 1 gold twinbar platy(female), and an orange platy(female). When I recieved the gold twinbar, she was pregnant(confirmed) and it has been almost five weeks and she hasn't given birth yet. Is this normal? Also, my tank had recently fought a serious case of ich(one of my neons almost died). Would this harm the baby fish?
