The biggest problem people have with these is overwatering.
Even it it looks rootbound leave it in the 3" pot through the winter so it will dry quickly after watering.

Place it in the warmest and brightest spot you have but not up against a cold or drafty window pane.

Mist regularly with tepid water when the humidity is low.

In the midwest or mountains you might have to spray for spider mites.
