I'm afraid I moved my 29 gal too close to a lighted plant stand and grew a lush crop of algae (should have known better) Anyway it's reddish-brown and I tried to wipe some of it off with paper towels and then covered the tank area close to the lights with a towel to stop further growth. My question is: Is it harmful to my large Black Ghost which is the only inhabitant but also my favorite? I'd really be sick if it was harmful. I have another 55gal. across the room - far enough away to not be a problem. Would really appreciate an answer as I won't be able to move it again until after Christmas or so.
