Susan, mine made it this year outside and we had one of our coldest and wettest winters in about 10-15 years here. It hasnt started growing yet but like an impatient kid had to dig mine up and it has started showing signs of growth.

Every year they come up at heronswood, and I jealously scowl (only on the outside-lots of smiles within!) when I see them.

Mine are planted about 6" deep and are near the eaves of my house though...

Hey, Jeff, thanks for the reply. Did you grow yours from seed, too? Just curious. Mine are still very, very tiny.

I cheated and bought one next door last spring. It cant be more then a year or so out from seed though. It was about 2-3" tall and the tuber this year is about the size of a marble.

Im hoping to get some good growth this year but we shall see. With any luck a flower next year...ooohhhh...
