Finally, a Sprout!

Whoo! I've been worrying day and night about my seeds. I figured I MUST have ruined them all (improper seed storage, too much water, not enough water, etc...) because nothing had sprouted yet.

Well, this morning I have a BUNCH of Sweet Alyssium sprouts and my Iceland Poppy seeds are starting to split open.

So even if NOTHING else sprouts for me, my poppies and alyssium will be lovely in the garden.

Good job, erika!! Where are you in CT? I'm north central, just this side of the MA state line. No sprouts yet but my jugs are in the shade, at least that's what I hope is the explanation.

Gardenweed - I'm just about dead center of CT - in Newington. So I can't imagine that I'm too much warmer than you.

And today I have even more! I looked in the jugs this morning and saw more sweet alyssium sprouts (purple ones this time), one hollyhock baby, sweet williams, bachelor buttons, calendula, and bath's pinks. There might be more, but I didn't want to be late for work.

Now I'm REALLY doing the happy dance! Yay Wintersowing! This is going to be one busy spring! :)

Hooray for alyssum and poppies, I should plant some of those every year just for the joy when they pop up first. Congrats on your sprouts and keep that happy dance going.
