You didn't get close enough to smell it, and yet you took that gorgeous picture? You must have one heck of a telephoto lens! If I even had a hint it smelled of chocolate, I'd be on top of it with a spoon!

Gorgeous, Dan. I am seeing some really nice arisaema photos from a lady on the new gardenforum.org website now, too. She grows hers outside in Pennsylvania, I believe it is. Beautiful growth; tons of growth. I am amazed. Not just your typical triphyllum either.

Dan, I haven't had the opportunity to try and kill this one yet. It looks fantastic. My Arums are in midbloom right now, the paleastinum has died down and my maculatum are about to bloom. ALready have Pinellia tripartata in the ground with 3 blooms. I need to get in touch with you and find out what tubers I can talk you out of that aren't already in growth. Always looking for more things to try and kill...

Of course, my big order from South Africa is coming the first part of May so I am really excited about that...no aroids, but wonderful plants :o) Dan

Dan, I have this coming up right now in the ground. Looks like it will be a monster! First time growing it also. Iyoanum and Engleri are the only other two showing so far. Ground is just starting to really warm here.

Right on! One of mines poking up and the other has yet to be seen.

We were actually taking a blooming one over to her dads house last year as a present and could only smell it after about 20 minutes in the car.

Smelled like really sweet fermenting fruit. Definatly not chocolate though, almost to sickly sweet to stand.
