Never mind, answered my own question. For some reason I thought I had to wait until after last frost date, i.e. Memorial Day. But read the packages again, I should've all ready planted them!!!

So since the package of my arum cornutum (I guess that's the old name) said to plant in march-april, I ran out and planted it. But I don't think its any good. It was flat and squishy. It's a bulb, so it should look like a bulb, right?

Yes, should be firm. Callas can be planted later, in WI I would plant from Memorial day until the end of June. Don't overwater until they get leaves.

A few years ago I tried a couple of the bulbs outside in a sheltered spot and not only did they survive but bloomed. Stinky rotten meat smell, was the bloom, and lots of flys around it but it has a striking flower

The other bulbs I have in large pots that I bring in over winter and put out in mid May. They make striking foliage all summer but I never get the flower from them

I have just harvested seeds from Amorph kiusianus and even though I will not be sowing them until spring (sept in NZ) I am wondering if they require any special treatment such as scarifying or soaking or anything else. I would appreciate any advice offered. Many thanks.

Well I planted them all out, even my squishy voodoo lily. Would've bought a new one, but the stores are out and not getting more in this year. So far not a sign of life from anything. When should I expect the Callas to come up?

I'm in 7a and started planting my callas in Apr. I've finished planting the last of them about 10 days ago. The first ones that I planted are already in bloom and the last ones I planted are just now coming up.

I have 1 out of the 4 I planted just starting to come up. I'm thinking they were bad bulbs, they looked and felt questionable.
