WTG, dereks!

Congrats dereks! My foxglove surprised me as well! I collected the seed out of my parents yard years ago, and just sowed it in January. I swear every little seed sprouted and has survived over 2 feet of snow.

I'll be WS Scarlet Flax today. Good to know it can handle the cold. Maybe I'll sow it earlier next year.

I had several containers sprout last week, but this week has been mostly cold and gray, so nothing new has sprouted.

Has it been colder than usual where you are? Last year, I was moving perennials around by now, and this year, the ground is still frozen solid.

Congratulations on your sprouts!

Bonnie

That is wonderful, my first sprouts were blue flax and I have some calendula, tri colored daisy and feverfew so far. I was surprised by the flax I didn't know it liked a cold start.

It looks like flax does like a cold start. I've tried the scarlet flax in years past in late spring and didn't have nearly as many sprouts.

Bonnie, we had a very cold start to winter but the last month and a half the temps have been near average to a little below average and drier than normal.

I'm excited for the foxtglove. It's amazing how tough these little sprouts are.
