I have a damp patch I could plant something in and was interested in this because of it's size. In reading about it I keep noticing that it is "vigorous". The last time I planted something described this way it was way more than I bargained for. Would you consider this plant invasive?

Could you suggest something that isn't invasive that is hardy in zone 8. Thanks.
