Amorphophallus damage
During a rain squall a large plumeria tree blew over onto my only remaining Amorphophallus paeonifolius which stood about 5 ft tall. It completely folded the petiole over about 3 ft up. :( After removing the plumeria I restaked the petiole and tried to suspend the weight of the top a little, re-aligning the stalk. Can anyone thing of anything else I might do to increase the chance of survival ? I would assume that this time of year the tuber is nearly non-existant after having grown a very large petiole. My thought is I might loose the whole plant, tuber and all.
