Plant it in full sun. Only alocasias grown in pots require some shade. But I grow mine in pots sunk in the ground. Full sun of course. Roots grow freely thru holes in the bottom of pots so plants don't feel rootbound and it's easy to take them in for winter without destroying whole root system.

Agree. Lots of sun, water, and fertilizer.
