I have heard that an occassional seed will produce an albino plant.....if that is the case it is dead and there is nothing you can do about it.....no photosynthesis. In general these are very easy to germinate and grow for a few years (once they get larger they get tough for me) so beyond the albinism it is hard to diagnose.....I have grown them for 3+ years just in my house....low humidity and all....they have no problems with this.....do not make them more difficult that they need to be. Many floral buds will blast if there is ethelyne gas, such as that coming from ripening fruit. Perhaps you had ripe bananas around? or some other fruit?

Also, the fact that your other two rotted, may mean your conditions are too cool, too wet, who knows. The darn things are temperamental.
