Joe, If you are going to grow any Amorphs you might as well get used to this....it is absolutely normal and the reason northern growers have such problems......I have around 200 Amorphs in my collection....not counting the several hundred small konjac tubers from offsets.....I have a grand total of 5-10 that are completely leafed out now and the rest are still coming up....other than konjac you will have to plan on growing many of them inside for a few months if you want to add serious tuber size....I'm guessing your paeoniifolius was already growing when you got it or it was already out of dormancy from being in a nice hot and humid environment.....next year you will have the same problem with this species in all likelihood!! Don't worry about the konjac.......it will do fine with a short growing season but be advised that you will have a tougher time getting the really big tubers unless it breaks dormancy earlier some years. Thanks for the tip...and you are exactly right about the paeoniifolius. I'm wondering if I could jump start the corms in my Nepenthes growing chambers next year? My "lowland" chamber is about 90+ degrees during the day and about 60% humidity. My "highland" chamber is about 80 degrees and 80% humidity; with cool nights. I wouldn't think the high atmospheric humidity could induce rot.

Joe - do you grow nepenthes? Albert Huntington has a picture of a GORGEOUS nepenthes in flower on his website right now if you want to see it. Just thought I'd let you know.
