showcasing Mary Flemming

I'm having a difficult time placing Mary Flemming. Being an early bloomer (here in zone 5b,6 MA) she didn't show up much among the leafless shrubs.

Moved further back, she's just lost in the brown leaves.

Where have you planted her to best advantage? Do you have plant companions that work exceptionally well?

As I write it occurs to me that one may not be enough. A few around the skirt of a dark evergreen /conifer might work well.

Your opinions?

Marie
