I got 2 bulbs for this plant, by mistake, in a recent order. I've never grown them before. They are rooting and sprouting in the baggies they shipped in.
What do I do with them? Into the ground? Into pots? Into the compost bin?
Hi Just plant them in the ground with the tip pointing out of the ground then water. You can also plant them in pots but pick a pot big enought to hold the roots half sun half shade is best Anna lisa
Anna Lisa - I purchased some tubers that were already sprouting - about 1", but I went ahead and planted them in the ground (about 5-6" deep) and they came up fine. I was just careful not to break off the growing tips. I've also done this with lilies and other sprouting bulbs. I tried breaking off the tips one time, and they didn't come up at all, so I stopped doing that, LOL!
Does it make a significant difference if you're planting them in pots?
